Advanced Motion

Week 2:  Simple Motion

For this week’s assignment, I opted to animate a broom, aiming to strike a balance between simplicity and complexity. My primary focus was on achieving realistic bristles at the bottom of the broom, which fortunately turned out quite well. Although it presented its challenges, the process pushed my skills further, enhancing my understanding of motion animation techniques

Week 3:  Real-World Objects Animation

In Week 3, I tackled animating everyday objects, and I decided to recreate an iPhone 8. Opting for a more intricate subject matter, I aimed to capture the frame of the Iphone within the animation.

Week 4:  Motion Animation

For my motion animation, I ventured into creating a sidestepping robot, infusing it with a dynamic jump to simulate the learning process. Inspired by intriguing dance movements, I sought to evoke personality and narrative into the animation, exploring the expressive potential of motion graphics

I was very interested in the walking animation we did during class and wanted to try my hand in the running side.  Instead of using a video from Youtube or Vimeo, I used an animation book that I have been reading.

Robot Interview

I plan on doing a tutorial on how to set up an interview but through animation.  It will go over the placement of cameras as well as some positions you may want to try.  Completing this I will be using cinema 4d with practically all of it being animated.  I take this from my own experience that was I learned from and wanted to teach people.

Week 7:  Introduction to Exploring Transitions

During Week 7, I delved into exploring different transition styles, drawing inspiration from classic fairy tales and children’s literature. Analyzing the art styles of “Mickey and the Beanstalk ” and “Curious George Makes Pancakes,” I gained insights into the nostalgic appeal and visual storytelling techniques employed in transitions and animation. These observations informed my own creative process and provided valuable references for future projects

I have looked into creating a transitions that I have wanted to for the longest time.  With this little push, I understand some of it now, from a basic swirl to a dramatic zoom in.  With time anything can be learned

Week 8:  Experimental Animation

In Week 8, I embarked on an experimental animation project, focusing on creating spinning rings as part of a side project exploration. The animation aimed to test the speed and fluidity of rotational movements, showcasing my ability to conceptualize and execute dynamic visual effects

Week 11:  Transitions and Animations

For Week 11, I prioritized creating a seamless Ghost Circle animation, aiming to demonstrate my proficiency in crafting visually appealing and engaging motion graphics. Drawing upon my experience and skills acquired by synthesizing what I have learned throughout prior weeks, I endeavored to captivate viewers with fluid movements, dynamic transitions, and compelling storytelling elements.

Final Project

COVID-19 Precaution Project

In response to the recent global pandemic, my project revolved around creating a short video highlighting the importance of social distancing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle during quarantine. Through animation in Cinema 4D, I aim to convey essential guidelines and practices, emphasizing the collective responsibility in combating the spread of illness and fostering community well-being.

Each week’s assignment presented unique challenges and opportunities for growth, contributing to my development as an animator and storyteller. Through experimentation, exploration, and dedication, I continue to refine my craft and push the boundaries of creative expression in animation
